John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited is the holding company of the publicly-listed conglomerate, Swire Pacific Ltd. Our Group Legal Department is now inviting candidates to apply for the following position:


Legal Counsel (M&A Focus)



  • Provide legal support to the Group on corporate and regulatory compliance matters including M&A, investments, treasury, corporate governance and reporting
  • Prepare, review and negotiate legal documentation for the Group on corporate and regulatory compliance matters
  • Develop and advise on corporate governance policies, practices and related reporting 
  • Monitor and provide updates on legal and regulatory changes
  • Carry out duties consistent with strategic plans and directives as determined by management



  • A qualified lawyer with a minimum of 8-12 years of post-qualification legal experience in an internationally recognized jurisdiction, with excellent drafting, negotiating and transaction management skills
  • Strong corporate and transactional experience gained in in-house legal department or international law firms
  • Experience in running complex transactions and Listing Rules compliance 
  • Able to work proactively and independently, with exceptional organizational skills and mature attitude
  • Commercially minded, capable in dealing with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese). Fluent Putonghua is preferred
