We are now inviting candidates to apply for the following position:
 

Manager, GBA

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the primary contact for John Swire & Sons China (JS&SCN) in the Greater Bay Area (GBA) to oversee daily communications and stakeholder engagements
  • Collaborate with Swire operating companies, and engage with local government bodies, state-owned enterprises, corporations and media
  • Drive JS&SCN's public relations and branding activities, and develop relationships with media and key stakeholders to enhance the Swire brand presence in the regions
  • Participate in CSR and political projects for JS&SCN and Swire operating companies
  • Monitor and report on policy updates, market trends, and industry developments to senior management
  • Manage the administrative duties of the JS&SCN Shenzhen office, and coordinate logistics for management visits in GBA regions

 

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above, with at least 6 years of experience managing business, projects and/or government relations in the Chinese Mainland 
  • A strong understanding of the structure and culture of the Chinese Mainland Government
  • Solid business writing skills, with experience in written correspondence with the Chinese Mainland Government
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (Putonghua). Proficiency in Cantonese is an advantage
