Senior Officer, Global Mobility

 

The role will support our Mobile workforce globally, and other internal stakeholders in all activities involved in the cross-border movement of our employees and their families, including immigration, tax and relocation guidance. 

The role will report to the Manager, Global Mobility and play an important role in managing risks and executing compliance requirements related to employee international relocations follow head office’s policies and processes, across all countries where the Swire Group operates

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist the Global Mobility team with providing subject matter expertise for all matters related to global mobility and immigration, to employees and other internal stakeholders across locations where Swire Group operates
  • Review the global immigration data with vendors to ensure compliance and data integrity, and to facilitate strategic long-term immigration planning
  • Develop strategic relationships with service providers, and proactively manage vendor panel through regular reviews and employee feedback processes
  • Coordinate all aspects of the global mobility lifecycle from initiation to case completion, including relocation, expense reimbursements, payroll, tax, repatriation and all other areas of risk and compliance
  • Assist with building process maps and documenting Global Mobility processes. Provide first-level review and resolution of requests, and make appropriate recommendations on complex cases
  • Adapt new technology to drive efficiencies, and champion the use and implementation across stakeholders

 

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or related disciplines
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in global mobility or relocation management function, or a proven background in customer/client support role
  • Solid understanding of global mobility policies, practices, and trends, including knowledge of immigration regulations, tax regulations, global payroll processes, Social Security regulations and other legal requirements across different countries
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to manage external and internal stakeholders 
  • High level of confidentiality, integrity, and ethical conduct
  • Good proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is preferred
