John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited is the holding company of the publicly-listed conglomerate, Swire Pacific Limited. Our Group Finance Department is now inviting candidates to apply for the following position:

Senior Accountant / Accountant (Reporting)

Responsibilities:

• Handle full set of consolidated accounts and financial reports, including preparation for interim and annual closing to ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Assist in preparing monthly management schedules, financial forecast and budget schedules
• Prepare monthly and budget schedules for London office reporting purpose
• Analyse financial performance, reconcile financial discrepancies and financial information for different report presentations
• Collaborate closely with the finance teams of Group companies and offer guidance on group financial reporting standards
• Enhance finance systems and operations, and take part in process improvement projects and new initiatives, as needed

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related disciplines, with professional qualifications such as ACCA, HKICPA or equivalent 
• At least 5 years of financial analysis or management reporting from listed company preferably. Candidates with more experience would be considered Senior Accountant
• Experience in external audit is an advantage
• Strong analytical skills for report preparation and variance analysis
• Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese 
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel
• Experience in using consolidation systems (such as CCH Tagetik solution)
