Risk Manager


Reporting to the Head of Group Risk Management, the Risk Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of a broad range of risk management programmes across Swire Pacific Ltd.  Close interaction will be required with group companies operating across different industry sectors when implementing group initiatives and conducting project work. 

The Risk Manager will be based in Hong Kong working as part of a small team which coordinates the risk management and insurance functions for group companies. The geographic scope of this position will predominantly be Greater China. 




•    Support the group enterprise risk management process, including overseeing the preparation of corporate risk registers
•    Identify, develop and implement effective group initiatives to reduce operational and hazard-based risk exposures
•    Manage an annual group programme of risk engineering surveys and related activities
•    Co-ordinate a programme of Health & Safety (H&S) and Wellbeing initiatives, and manage group level H&S reporting and analysis
•    Maintain head office business continuity plans and support business continuity management across all divisions




•    Bachelor’s degree or above with a major in engineering, H&S, business or risk management
•    At least 10 years’ experience in engineering, H&S or risk management
•    Able to travel overseas and Chinese Mainland when required
•    Cantonese speaker with excellent command of oral and written English
•    A good standard of proficiency in Putonghua and written Chinese
•    Mature, self-starter and able to work independently
•    Good communication and listening skills
•    Excellent knowledge in Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
