About Our Department and Our Role
Join us at John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited within the People department, where we are dedicated to working in close partnership with our various businesses at our Head Office on people-related matters.
As a Recruitment Specialist, you will be responsible for the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for an assigned portfolio at JS&SHK Head Office. You will play a pivotal role in attracting the right talent by partnering with key stakeholders to understand their recruitment requirements and manage the recruitment processes effectively and efficiently. You will also contribute to our employer branding initiatives to instil a positive candidate experience and promote JS&SHK as the employer of choice.
Job Responsibilities
To be successful as a Recruitment Specialist, you should have experience with the following:
- Full-cycle recruitment process: Manage independently and effectively the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for the assigned portfolio, including candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiation. Engage candidates throughout the recruitment, pre-boarding, and keep-warm processes to ensure a positive candidate experience. Analyse and interpret hiring trends to propose recommendations for enhancement.
- Partner with business leaders: Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their hiring requirements and align recruitment strategies that are fit-for-purpose. Utilise market research and data points to provide meaningful insights, and act as a talent advisor to support business objectives effectively.
- Build talent pipeline: Devise talent pipelines that meet current business requirements and potential hiring needs in the future. Leverage diverse sourcing methods to build a robust pipeline of high-caliber candidates.
- Communication and collaboration: Establish strong and positive relationships with internal stakeholders to facilitate the recruitment and pre-boarding processes. Provide constructive guidance to hiring managers on the best recruitment practices. Develop and maintain partnerships with recruitment agencies and industry partners to expand talent networks.
- Employer branding: Work closely with the team to implement and enhance our employer branding and marketing initiatives, and create an on-brand and consistent candidate and hiring manager experience. Participate on behalf of JS&SHK in career fairs and industry events to strengthen our presence and employer brand in the market.
- Recruitment projects, initiatives, and governance: Lead or work on ad-hoc recruitment projects as assigned, such as recruitment system enhancement, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and vendor management processes. Keep abreast of the latest industry trends and emerging technologies in talent acquisitions. Ensure all recruitment activities comply with relevant laws and company policies.
Job Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- Experience: At least 4-5 years of talent sourcing and talent acquisition for experienced hires, preferably with large and matrix organisations. Proven track record in driving recruitment results by engaging internal and external stakeholders. Strong understanding of recruitment best practices, including sourcing techniques, candidate assessment, and offer negotiation. Experience in employer branding and recruitment marketing.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with individuals across levels.
- Sound knowledge of recruitment strategies, tools, and technologies, including application tracking systems and social media platforms.
- Can-do attitude, drive for results.
- Proactive; the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong fluency in both written and verbal English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
