Manager Group Public Affairs


The Job:


We are looking for a seasoned public affairs professional to help build strategic relationships with stakeholders, to communicate our corporate narratives to external stakeholders, to manage issues, and to lead the public affairs function.  




•    Devise plans that cultivate strategic relationships with the media (both local and international media), opinion leaders, government officials and other key stakeholders, and manage the execution of such plans.  
•    Monitor the key social, economic and political issues in Hong Kong, and to keep senior management abreast of the development of these issues through regular written reports and analysis.  
•    Support the management of issues and incidents that have a direct impact on the Group’s businesses, and to co-ordinate responses from group companies; to support the development of corporate messages in response to the development of issues. 
•    Draft press releases, speeches, corporate statements and other corporate messages to support corporate events and new business developments. 
•    Provide consultation service to operating companies on public affairs, corporate communications and crisis management as needed. 
•    Support the interim and annual results announcement of Swire Pacific, which includes the production of interim and annual reports and the management of press conferences and analyst briefings.



•    A Bachelor’s degree, with at least 10-12 years relevant managerial experience in a sizeable organization or listed company.
•    Strong relationship with the local and international media, key influencers, and financial commentators. 
•    A strong understanding of current affairs and the media / social media landscape.  
•    Excellent analytical skills and writing skills. 
•    Preferably with experience in crisis and issue management.
•    Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese. Fluent Putonghua is required.
•    Good interpersonal and presentation skills are required.
