John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited is the holding company of the publicly-listed conglomerate, Swire Pacific Ltd. Our Group Risk Management Department is now inviting candidates to apply for the following position:
Head of Enterprise Risk Management
The role is to implement Group Risk Management processes and ensure various types of key risks are managed across the Group. The role will serve as the business partner to subject matter specialists and ERM teams of operating companies, to oversee incident reporting process and Swire Pacific Policy Governance. The job holder would also be accountable for the Health and Safety programme and underlying activities.
Responsibilities:
- Implement the Risk Management Framework for Swire Pacific, including identifying emerging risks, conducting regular risk assessments and following up on mitigating actions
- Drive ongoing development and maintenance of group-wide ERM System to enhance capabilities of risk data analytics, risk reporting, and internal incident reporting and analysis
- Develop and maintain business continuity plans, and corporate security programme
- Collaborate with first line functions to oversee management of key risks, and ensure agreed management actions are enacted
- Coordinate Swire Pacific Policies and ensure proper governance process is in place
- Prepare insightful reports for Board Meeting and Committees e.g. Group Risk Management Committee, and Swire Pacific Risk Management Committee
- Organise ERM Working Group to follow up on key risks and incidents, and to share best practices of risk management
- Act as Chairperson for the Health and Safety Committee, to oversee the Health and Safety Programme and provide regular reporting to Board / Risk Committees
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree or above, in engineering, health & safety, business or risk management or related discipline
- Relevant qualifications in Business Continuity Management and Compliance are preferred
- At least 15 years of risk management experience, working in multinational companies, financial services companies or conglomerates at group or regional level
- Sound knowledge and experience in internal controls, enterprise risk management and corporate governance
- Proven track record in project management and change management
- Strong consulting skills, and the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluent Putonghua is desirable
