Gardener

Responsibilities:

• Maintain the health of plants and appearance of outdoor spaces by trimming trees and shrubs, mowing lawns, weeding gardens, and keeping walkway edges clean and neat
• Monitor and care for plants, ensuring appropriate amount of water, nutrients, and fertilisers are applied to promote healthy growth
• Identify and address potential plant health issues early to maintain vibrant and thriving green spaces
• Keep outdoor areas clean and safe by removing debris, litter, and other hazards, while ensuring compliance with safety and health regulations
• Enhance garden layouts by assessing and recommending replanting or improvement options
• Accurately document and report all maintenance tasks and activities
• Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisors

To be successful for the role, you must have:

• Completed secondary education or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar role
• Comfort with working outdoors
• Good knowledge of regional plant life and the experience using appropriate pesticides to manage garden pests and plant diseases
• An understanding of soil management, including the use of synthetic and natural fertilisers
• The ability to operate and maintain a variety of garden tools and machinery while adhering to safety protocols
• Conversational proficiency in English and Cantonese
