John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited is the holding company of the publicly-listed conglomerate, Swire Pacific Ltd. Our Group Finance Department is now inviting candidates to apply for the following position:

Business Analyst

This role aims to support on-going operations and continuous enhancements of the Tagetik consolidation system, and to manage automation/digitalisation projects within Group Finance, ensuring efficient and effective financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the coordination, testing and rollout of system enhancements across teams and divisions, to ensure smooth deployment and minimal disruption
• Develop comprehensive documentation of system rules and logics, and conduct training sessions to enhance user understanding and ensure compliance with system requirements
• Support the ongoing operation of the system including monthly closures, budget, and interim/annual report preparation. Work with different divisions in system administration, and the updating and building of various forms and reports
• Collaborate with finance user teams on daily operations, and liaise with the system vendor on any issues raised
• Support on-going automation projects and drive continuous process enhancements within Group Finance to improve efficiency and effectiveness
• Maintain good internal control over system changes, and work with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices

To be successful in this role, you must have:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field
• At least 3 years’ experience in business analysis and project delivery, with direct handling of financial systems, preferably including experience with Tagetik or similar financial consolidation and reporting tools
• A proven track record of managing projects, especially related to financial system implementation and enhancement
• Hands-on experience in data management, data analysis, and reporting tools. Experience with agile methodologies, design thinking, MVP development approaches and automation tools will be beneficial
• Certifications related to Tagetik, and/or accounting such as HKICPA or ACCA, would be advantageous
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently
• Proficient command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
