Assistant Manager, Talent Management


As the Assistant Manager, Talent Management, you will support people initiatives that shape the employee experience across our Head Office and Programme populations. Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will help deliver core people processes, engagement activities and employee lifecycle matters. This hands-on role suits someone who enjoys bringing structure to people processes, building trusted relationships and driving practical improvements to the employee experience.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist with annual talent and performance management processes for Head Office and Programme employees, including goal setting, reviews, appraisals, and related reporting
  • Maintain talent data, prepare reports and support workforce and talent discussions
  • Support the annual Staff Conference cycle, including planning and preparation activities as assigned
  • Plan and organise employee engagement, wellbeing, recognition, volunteering and culture-building initiatives
  • Coordinate employee engagement surveys and feedback mechanisms, including administration, communications, analysis, reporting and follow-up action planning
  • Manage onboarding, employee movements, promotions, transfers and offboarding processes, ensuring a consistent employee experience
  • Provide practical guidance to employees and managers on people policies, procedures and employee lifecycle matters
  • Contribute to process improvement, HR systems enhancement, digital tools adoption and AI-enabled ways of working

 

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline
  • 5-8 years of HR experience, with hands-on exposure to talent management, performance management, employee engagement and employee lifecycle processes
  • Experience organising employee events, conferences or organisation-wide people initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Sound understanding of HR practices, employee relations and organisational development principles
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in HR systems, Microsoft 365 applications, and people analytics, with familiarity using emerging AI-powered tools in daily work and a curiosity to explore better ways of working
  • A proactive and adaptable mindset, with strong attention to detail, strict data confidentiality, and the ability to manage competing priorities independently
  • Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua)
