John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited is the holding company of the publicly-listed conglomerate, Swire Pacific Limited. Our Group Finance Department is now inviting candidates to apply for the following position:
Accountant
This role will support Group Accountant on the preparation of statutory and management reporting of Swire Pacific head office.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly reporting, consolidation journals and management report schedules to comply with regulatory requirements
- Prepare interim and annual schedules, and budget reports for the Group
- Proficient with business procedures and flows of the Group, consolidate data, and identify and resolve any issues
- Prepare annual packages and other schedules for London office reporting purpose
- Reconcile different report presentations, prepare and review flash reports for management review
- Facilitate enhancement in systems and perform UAT
- Perform other ad-hoc studies and analysis
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related disciplines, with at least 5 years of experience in auditing, financial and management accounting. External audit experience preferred
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, HKICPA or equivalent
- Strong analytical skills, good sense to numbers and details and able to work independently
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese, able to collaborate well with team members
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with advanced knowledge of Excel
- Experience in using consolidation systems (such as Oracle HFM / CCH Tagetik solution)
