John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited is the holding company of the publicly-listed conglomerate, Swire Pacific Limited. Our Finance & Accounts Department is now inviting candidates to apply for the following position:

 

Accountant (Management Reporting)

 

This role is responsible for preparing management and financial reports for the Hong Kong head office, and supporting the daily operations of the Management Reporting team throughout the finance transformation journey.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare monthly reporting, consolidation journals, and management reports 
  • Prepare forecast and budget schedules and reports for departments and consolidated level
  • Prepare monthly and annual packages and other schedules for London head office reporting purposes
  • Reconcile different report presentations and develop meaningful variance analysis for management review
  • Facilitate enhancement in finance system, digital initiatives and process improvement projects
  • Assist in ad-hoc duties and tasks as assigned

 

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related disciplines
  • At least 5 years’ experience in management reporting, of which 2 years in supervisory level is highly preferred
  • Relevant professional qualification such as HKICPA or equivalent
  • Good understanding of HKFRS principles with underlying accounting practices and applications 
  • High attention to details, with solid analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, such as Word and Excel. Knowledge of SAP FICO system is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese
