We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our Swire Finance Programme. The objective of the Programme is to develop high performing, high potential individuals into future senior finance leaders who share our common set of values. Participants in the Programme will experience job rotations every few years, allowing them to explore different industries, countries, and cultures. The successful candidate’s first job assignment will be in a key finance position at a subsidiary of Swire Coca-Cola.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Strategic Leadership:

  • Participate in strategic planning and development for the Company, including new funding opportunities, capital allocation and analysis of new business initiatives.
  • Engage the Board of Directors and Shareholders of the Company for adherence to the Shareholders Agreement. Maintain transparency in the Company’s affair and management.

 

Financial Leadership:

  • Develop and implement robust financial strategies – and other cross-departmental efforts – aligned with the company’s objectives.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and management of the finance and accounting, human resources and information technology.

 

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on monthly and annual basis.
  • Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to the Company’s Board of Directors.
  • Manage the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and oversee the preparation of all statutory reporting that meets the audit requirements and Swire’s requirement.
  • Provide insights and guidance on all activities, plans, and business drivers for operation.

 

Risk Management:

  • Assess and manage the company’s financial risk, including liquidity risks, debt servicing and financial covenants.
  • Ensure risk management policies and strategies are in compliance with Swire’s policy.

 

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor cash flow and investment activities, and ensure that cash flow is appropriate for the company’s operations.
  • Supervise all finance personnel and working capital management.

 

Governance and financial discipline:

  • Oversee corporate governance and controls, continuous development of the Company’s governance framework to ensure all aspects of the company’s processes are compliant to applicable standards.
  • Work with the Company Secretary for the effective corporate governance.
  • Oversee the compliance related to company filings, records, and statutory obligations under relevant laws and regulations.

 

Information Technology Oversight:

  • Ensuring the development and implementation of strategic technology solutions that support financial operations and company growth.
  • Ensure the security of financial data and the integration of IT systems to improve efficiency and decision-making processes.

 

Human Resources Management:

  • Lead the HR function, aligning HR strategies with business objectives, overseeing talent management, payroll, benefits, and organizational development.
  • Develop and monitor strategies for maintaining a healthy company culture that attracts, retains, and motivates top-quality employees.

 

Key Requirements:

 

  • Possess solid business and commercial acumen with the aspiration to become a finance leader at Swire.
  • Ideally you would have at least 8 years of experience in a finance role, with a demonstrated track record of success.
  • Qualified accountants (HKICPA, CICPA, ICAA, ICAEW, USCPA, ICAS, CICA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  • Intellectually curious with strong learning agility.
  • Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles.
  • Geographic mobility will be expected. Swire Finance Programme Executives will spend most of their time working in HKSAR and the Chinese Mainland but may also be required to work in other countries where our businesses operate. The extent of travel outside HKSAR will depend on which industry/operating company you work in.
